Our Faith-Statement for Educational Enrichment

We acknowledge ourselves as those called by the grace of God the Father, redeemed through the death and resurrection of his Son Jesus Christ, and indwelt by the Holy Spirit to be partners in God's mission.

We affirm faith in One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, and commit to the Ephesians 4:3-6 challenge to  “make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace; there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all”.

We seek to discern and participate in the current work of God in Christ Jesus, and rejoice to experience His Kingdom in our personal lives, local environments, diaporean situations, and regional settings.

We seek to enable Christian missions and congregations to incarnate the Gospel of the Kingdom of God in their own contexts, and to be transparent in the process.

We affirm our faith in the continuity of God’s salvation world-wide, and commit to stay open to its local, national, international and institutional expressions.

We are committed to the holistic mission of the Church, which is to witness God's Kingdom of right personal, religious, social and economic relationships in Christ Jesus.

We affirm God's painful identification with the poor, the powerless, the alienated and the oppressed in their situations. We recognise that we ourselves could be part of the construction or institution of poverty, alienation or oppression, and repent of our complicity in such evil.  In reliance on God’s help, we seek to achieve justice with the victims of injustice and make all aware of God's judgement on such disorder.

We affirm our hope in Jesus Christ's promise of a decisive return to fulfil the fullness of God’s Kingdom by the total transformation of the created order.

We affirm the gifts of the Holy Spirit (given and to be given) to all members of the Body of Christ, and for that purpose seek to work in partnerships whereby the Spirit may be mutually received - for enrichment and correction across boundaries and forces that divide the unity of Christ's mission.

We seek to exercise and encourage servant leadership among the people of God. We therefore seek the power of the Holy Spirit to live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ in expectation of his daily provision of grace and strength.

We invite people to believe in Jesus Christ and experience new birth in Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
